Ernies Point is located at the Sabang Beach area of Puerto Galera. You will find two caves that both cannot be penetrated, but they are big enough to see numerous schools of unicornfish, mackerel and trevally. You will also see mantis shrimps and plenty of corals, gorgonian fans and sea fans.
The Ernies Point dive site is ideal for advanced and experienced divers. Advanced open water certification is optional, but plenty of logged dives a must in order to even get the ok signal from your dive guide. The currents can be very strong at the Ernies Point dive site, and thus you should have drift dive and deep dive experience because the maximum depth goes down to 27 meters. The shallowest point would be around 5 meters. This is an ideal Nitrox dive site, so prepare to invest a couple of bucks more.
