Floating Bar in Puerto Galera - Philippines

How to Get to the Floating Bar

Floating Bar is anchored off the shore of Sabang Beach. Sabang Beach is about half and an hour away to Puerto Galera. From Manila, take a bus to the Batangas Pier. Ferries from the Batangas Pier or the Ro-Ro (Roll on-Roll off), will take you to Muella Bay, the main port of Puerto Galera. The ferry will cross the Verde Passage, which, on a clear day, offers an excellent view of the sea. Upon arriving at Puerto Galera, you have the option to take a jeepney to Sabang Beach which will pass through all the quaint coves and coasts along the province. The trip will take about half an hour and is excellent for tourists who are interested in sight seeing. If you are a little bit tight on time, you can hire a boat that will take you directly from Muella Bay to the beach. You can also hire a private boat from the Batangas Port to take you directly to Sabang Beach. Or, better yet, if you have booked accommodations beforehand, ask the lodge or hotel if they could arrange for a boat to fetch you from Puerto Galera and take you directly to Sabang Beach.

Things to See

Floating Bar offers a 360° view of the beaches and blue open seas of Puerto Galera. The second story deck offers a better vantage point of the sea blue waters and the islands in the horizon. If you look down to the waters from the diving board, the corals and fish swimming under water are visible through the clear blue green waters. Local and imported beers are available in the bar.

Cost

The trip to Puerto Galera, Sabang Beach and Floating Bar will take about $100 to $200. This includes accommodations, travel expense and pocket money. However, costs will vary depending on the foreign exchange rate. US dollars though are worth more in the Philippines.
