The Horsehead dive site is located at the walls of the Sinandigan cliffs which is on the northeast side of Puerto Galera. You can reach the Horsehead dive site easily via boat which will take around 5 to 10 minutes from Sabang Beach. This dive site is very close to others such as the Sinandigan Wall dive site, so you got to get a good pre-dive briefing about the surroundings and the exact dive location.

The Horsehead dive site is named such because of the subterranean rock formations that are shaped like horse heads. The bottom of this dive site is inhabited by coral trees, gorgonian fans and whip corals. There are also plenty of fish schools to find such as schools of jacks, tuna and king jacks. Occasional reef sharks, hammerhead sharks and manta ray can be seen if luck is on your side.

The Horsehead dive site is ideal for advanced divers and technical recreational divers or technical divers. The minimum depth in the Horsehead dive site is about 24 meters and the maximum depth in this dive site is around 40 to 55 meters depending on the location. There is a wall that goes all the way down to the 55 meters mentioned earlier which is great for all the technical divers. Tech dives including equipments, transportation and guide cost around $50 per dive. Some dive shops and dive centers also offer rebreather and rebreather courses. The rental always ranges around $30 to $100 since they are pretty hard to find.
