Location

Long Beach in Puerto Galera is located off the coast of San Antonio, Oriental Mindoro. From Sabang you need to take a boat that will transport you to San Antonio.

If you are going there via a tour package courtesy of the resort you are staying in, chances are you will only be charged a nominal fee. If you prefer to take a banca, the cost will be about 500 Php, not including the cost of the jeepney ride to the pier which may amount to 200 Php to 500 Php depending on the distance involved. The rate usually is good for 7 to 9 people. The rates may change (go up or down) depending on whether it is peak season or not.

The beautiful thing about Long Beach Puerto Galera is that it is in San Antonio and separated from other places like Sabang, away from the party scene, so you can spend time relaxing. The general atmosphere of the island is that of peacefulness and tranquility, and this extends to the beach itself.

There are a number of small cottages and resorts near Long Beach in Puerto Galera where you can get lodging and other necessities. One of them is Ruths Nipa Hut, where you can rent rooms for 80 to 150 Php. Like the other resorts on the island it comes with a generator, a restaurant and other amenities.

Long Beach Puerto Galera is an idyllic spot for people who want to relax or simply enjoy the sun. Generally secluded, it offers a very attractive alternative for those that just want to spend their days promenading.
