You will find moray eels peeping out of cracks from the wall, sweetlips, triggerfish and surgeonfish that are swimming around in schools. We already mentioned a large population of nudibranchs, but did we already mention the population of rare pygmy seahorses and mandarin fish?

The maximum depth of this dive site is a total of 50 meters and the minimum depth is 30 meters. You should have at least a deep diver certificate or an advanced open water certification if you are planning to dive in the Mahmuds Reef. Beginners can stay at shallower levels of this site determined by the dive guide, and tech divers can dive all the way down to 50 meters. The dive site can have strong currents, so prepare yourself for those or simply choose a time with lesser currents with your dive guide.

The cost for this dive as a regular diver is going to be $25 dollars including dive guide, weights, tanks and transportation. If you are going to do a tech dive, then you have to prepare around $50 for the dive into the Mahmuds Reef.
