Sinandigan Wall in Puerto Galera - Philippines

This special spot is called the Sinandigan Wall dive site. This dive site is located beside the Turtle Rock dive site on the east coast of Puerto Galera. The dive entry to the Sinandigan Wall dive site can be done directly from the shore or via boat with a ten minute boat ride.

The Sinandigan Wall dive site is famous for its invertebrates and those who are addicted to the snails of the sea will absolutely adore this dive site. This is the micro critter heaven that underwater photography lovers would die for. The Sinandigan Wall dive site is the home of the different nudibranch varieties in all their glory and neon colors and everywhere you look you will be able to find at least one nudibranch. The color spectacle doesnt just stop with the nudibranchs but it goes on with cuttlefish that change color. Aside from critters, you will see banded sea snakes, tuna fish, octopus, mantis shrimps, jacks, barracudas, groupers and sharks.

The Sinandigan Wall is only good for advanced open water divers because there are usually fierce currents which can shock an inexperienced diver into the bones. You should be experienced in using negative buoyancy entries, because the currents can indeed become unpredictable and hard to control. The visibility is pretty good at most times and the minimum depth at the Sinandigan Wall dive site is 5 meters and with a maximum depth of 35 meters. A must have for this dive is an underwater camera so that you can capture all the different nudibranch species. Nudibranchs always make a great picture and their color makes them literally pop out of the frame.

The best time to visit Puerto Galera in general and the Sinandigan Wall dive site in particular is during November until May because this is the best season with the best visibility. The dive rates range from $30 to $45 depending on dive provider and dive guide. Your guide will also inform you of the current conditions and best dive entries which is definitely worth the price.
