Talipanan Beach in Puerto Galera - Philippines
Talipanan Beach is the tranquil and less popular of the renowned beaches of Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro. Situated in the west of White Beach and the adjacent Aninuan Beach, it provides an alternative to the noisy environment for those who are looking for a peaceful and quiet vacation.
Talipanan Beach offers guest with a direct view of the long white beach and crystal clear water. At the background, one would see the beautiful tropical jungle and mountain paradise perfect for trekking and water sports. Likewise, it provides various beach activities such as snorkeling and swimming.
Talipanan Beach offers the lowest room rates in the whole of Puerto Galera. Along the stretch of white sands, the private beach of the Ayalas can be seen from the distance. It is 10 minutes away from Talipanan Beach.
From Batangas City, guests can book their ticket for the boat trip. For a single voyage, the cost is PHP 250. Normally, the boat makes its last destination at Talipanan. However, when there are few passengers, the boat makes it last stop at White Beach. Thus, guests would have to coordinate with both the ticket office as well as the collector.
From Batangas Port, guests can reserve a ticket that will take them straight to Talipanan Beach. The trip will take around 1 and a half to two hours. For those who are interested in bringing their vehicles, it is possible to ferry them using the RORO route which stops at Balatero Port. From there, they need to head west to Talipanan Beach.
From White Beach, Talipanan is just 10 minutes away by boat and half an hour by jeep or tricycle. However, guests should be ready for a bumpy ride because the roads going to Talipanan Beach are steep and narrow.
Although there are 70-seater boats that have direct routes from Batangas City Pier to Talipanan, trips going to White Beach are more frequent.
For guests who are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation, Mountain Beach Resort is the best alternative. The cost for accommodation can reach up to PHP 3,000 per night for an airconditioned room during high season. However, the bathrooms do not have ceilings so the guests can smell the bathroom even though the doors are closed.
Compared to other resorts in Puerto Galera, Mountain Beach Resort is distant from the others and the cottages are located far from each other.
