West Escarceo in Puerto Galera - Philippines

The place that we are talking about is called West Escarceo. We will be elaborating the different kinds of species that you can find in this mega dive site in Puerto Galera.
West Escarceo can be found on the north easternmost tip of Puerto Galera and this dive site is right in between the Wreck Point and the Fish Bowl dive sites. It will take you around ten minutes by boat to get to this dive location that is if you are travelling from La Laguna Beach. If you are travelling from farther south, then it might take 15 to 30 minutes to get to the West Escarceo dive spot.
The West Escarceo dive site is a sandy slope that runs into a coral reef and then back into a sand slope. You will find enormous amounts of corals, sponges, sea fans and featherstars. We are not joking; there are indeed massive amounts of boulder corals and table corals that will cause your regulator to fall out of your mouth in astonishment. If you try to keep your mask on no matter how much your excitement level is, then you will be able to see the other 31+ marine species and fishes such as feather duster worms, Christmas tree worms, nudibranchs, sea stars, sea squirts, cucumbers, red toot triggerfish, scorpionfish, octopi, mackerels, trevallies, tuna fish, emperor fish and blue spotted stingrays.
The West Escarceo dive site is perfect for advance open water divers, but beginners can also join in this dive spot once the currents are weaker. The West Escarceo dive site can be booth a relaxing reef dive or an exhilarating drift dive. The minimum depth at the West Escarceo dive site is 5 meters and the slopes go all the way to 25 meters in depth. This spot is perfect for underwater photography and underwater naturalists.
